Nkon means indigenous, or indigène in French. The word is Bassa, from the eponymous Cameroonian tribe. with this platform, we create a community of art lovers and we aim at spreading it globally.
This is where our artists can gather around us and ask questions about business, logistics, our services, their concerns and everything in between. Also, a couple of rules to make things smooth as ever.
Say hi to the community. Write a little post about yourself. Why did you decide to join? Do you work in the art industry or do you just love and collect it? Or maybe you're just finding out? Tell us about yourself, your dreams and aspirations. We're sure it will feel good to connect!
Post about your community project, art trade, or personal ventures here!
Let's meet! It can be at your local store or a big extravagant party. Just drop the location, plan it, and make the magic happen right here.
To know where we are going, it's vital to know where we come from. Our history and current political environment are the core of our art practices and industries (or lack thereof...). Let's discuss it here.
We are a community, so we lead with compassion. We know how hard creatives of color systematically have it compared to their peers. If there is any life advice, personal development, structural change tip we can share to lift up a fellow Nkon member, now is the time. Let's lead the way and build a centered and empowered community.
